COVID-19 NEW RESTRICTIONS FOR GOLF
UPDATED: May 8th, 2021
The Alberta Government has announced additional public health measures to protect the health system and reduce the rising spread of COVID-19 province wide. Additional restrictions come into effect as of 11:59pm on May 9th in our region and will be enforced with $2,000 fines. These measures will be in effect for at least the next weeks.
New restrictions limit who you will be allowed to play golf with. Starting Monday, May 10th, you are only permitted to play golf with members of your own household OR, if you live alone, you may choose up to two non-household close contacts. To clarify, close contacts can be up to two (2) people that an individual who resides alone has ongoing contact with and is incumbent on the individual to identify should any personal inquiries be made to them by AHS.
If you want to play golf over the next several weeks, you MUST follow the NEW PROTOCOLS that are being put into place. There is a zero tolerance policy for anyone who even tries to cheat or look for exceptions or exemptions to these rules. Violations could lead to the closure of our facility and all golf facilities in the province and to significant fines for individuals. With the recent announcements based on surging case numbers, we are fortunate to have been provided with an opportunity to remain open for the enjoyment by Albertans, however this needs to be done responsibly. Today, we were informed that golf was on the list of industries to be closed, however, the industries commitment to being responsible and ensuring protocols were put into place to maintain the safety and well-being of golfers were the key deciding factors in the industry being permitted to remain open.
We are tired of continually having to completely recreate the way that we operate our business and we know that you are also tired of the changing regulations and protocols, but unfortunately this is the situation that exists at this time, so let’s do our best to politely work together during this difficult time so that we can all continue to play the game we love.
Starting Saturday, May 8th at 6:00pm, you will have an opportunity to reserve tee-times for May 10th forward under the terms outlined below:
– Maximum Booking Size = Twosome (2) people
– Minimum Booking Size = Single (1) person
– All booking will be made for holes ONLY as we will utilize both the 1st and 10th tee to start players
* Players will be limited to bookings per day in the event that you wish to play 18 holes
* Players will be responsible for ensuring that they are on-time for any and all bookings
* Players that miss tee-times will be billed for their booking and lose the opportunity to play that day
* Players that provide false information will be billed for their booking but will not be permitted to play
Please help us to maintain the integrity of the tee-sheet so that we can provide access to all of our members, pass holders and guests.
Thank you for your support at this time.
